All Good
July 01, 2003With a half & half white/yellow gold ring on my finger, I’m pleased to report the wedding went… well, I’d say ‘without a hitch’, except that I have about $400 in discounts and refunds thanks to various screw–ups and a guy got fired as a direct result.
Still. All is good, I am married, and while we were forced to delay a full hour, once we began all went well. We are spending Canada Day in Vancouver, and bright and early tomorrow morning we’re off for the honeymoon.

A picture just before our getaway. More forthcoming — the thing about bringing your own camera to your wedding is that you don’t get much of an opportunity to use it.
Thanks to all for the congratulations and words of wisdom! Back in a week and change.
heh… i wasnt invited to the wedding bc if i were, i would have gotten you two so piss drunk that you wouldnt remember your own name on your wedding nite. muahhaahh! weddings are sadistically fun!
Congrats!
Congratulations. Marriage has gotten a bad rap over the years, but it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m sure you’ll be very happy.
Congratulations!
Have a nice time on your honeymoon, i’ll miss reading your thought provoking articles for a week though…
Good luck with your new life together. :)
Congratulations (again) to the two of you. Have an excellent week together — and subsequently, a wonderful life.
“Without a hitch” isn’t a very good description for a successful wedding, anyways. :)Congratulations, by the way! In the “small world” department, I also got married this year after several years of long-distance relationship, and lived in Vancouver until two months ago. Now I’m working as a web developer in Seattle.
congrats to the both of you.
hope you’ll have many years of happines together.
my your marriage always hold the freshness of dawn
and never lose the mistery of twilight.
and always remember what einstein said:
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
while the choice seems obvious, the knack lies in remembering and holding on to it, for even the worst of things is a new experience!
i wish you both the best of luck.
Congratulations! I wish you two the best in the future, and have a great time on your honeymoon! Spend it well. : )
congrats man, have a great honeymoon and we’ll go for a beer when you get back (that is, if you’re still allowed to, hehe).
My warmest congratulations to you both. Please indulge yourselves while you are away.
dave, congrats, man. I’ll be joining the ranks of the married next summer. keep a list of tips going for me.

Congrats! I guess this is why Zen Garden submissions are down until July 15th. Here’s what I’ve come up with if anyone’s curious:
ZenZilla is a a Mozilla.org look-alike which I really hope gets added to the “themes and look–alikes” section.
Have a great honeymoon!

Congratulations to both of you! As a side note, I was looking at the picture above with the red convertible, and suddenly realized that I’ve stood in that exact spot. Yep, SD native up in here. La Jolla Shores, right?
